I purchased a pinto last month looking to build a decent streetable race car. Being fairly knowledgable about cars this car seems too have it all Rack and Pinion decent handling and a low weight so heres my plan:
stroke the 2.3
M90 Eaton supercharger
Boost the hell out of it and go stomp some v-8s
switch the trans to a C-4
Narrowed ford 9" Rear
headed in the direction of a modified chevy TBI setup With a megasquirt EMS doing double duty on spark and fuel Management. multi port would be better but thats a lot more tuning
I know everyone says Turbo, Turbo, Turbo Im kind of old school in that I want Boost all the time and not just when the Turbo makes it. To me this sounds like a good combo any engine with 20psi boost makes a lot of power and having it there all the time will give it the low end that this engine seems too lack.
Any thoughts?
Am i way off base?
putting a turbo after the SC is not entirely out of the question but don't know that its required as this Supercharger coming off of a 3.8L should provide plenty of Air
Peace out and thanks for being a fair place to shoot ideas at without the B.S. at the turboford forum
