The car is a 1971 large window hatchback which I have owned for almost 20 years. It is finally nearing completion.  All major fabrication is now done, and the car is currently at a body shop getting painted.  Here are a few pictures I took of the fabrication over the last year.

Thanks, everyone, for the kind remarks.  The car is going to be painted 05 Mustang Windveil Blue Metallic.  Current plans call for ghost flames done in clear pearl, with the edges of the flames frosted in either white or silver pearl.  The flame scheme is still kinda up in the air.  Once the shop gets the base color down, I'm going to work with them on a test piece to get the right look.  If my current idea doesn't turn out the way I imagine it, then we'll change it to something else.

OK now I'm super jealous!!  >:(
Just kidding :D Man that looks Awesome!!
I spose that you have room for EFI + twin turbos ??? I don't know of a V8 pinto yet that does. If you got it to hook with about 850hp Imagine the et's!!
Still no matter what, its Superb.

Mmmm tasty :P Cant wait to read about it!
Also cant wait to see the paint scheme on your pinto cfb289 !! I always wanted ghost flames. My thought was a Bright Orange with a subtle ghost flames of a darker or lighter orange. Just enough that you could see it but not Scream at you.  LOL!
Anyways good luck with your project!
 Robert

Again I would like to thank everyone for the positive comments.

To Robert: Yes twin turbos would fit, but are not likely any time soon.  The 408 that is going in the car has to much compression, at 12.6:1, for a boosted application.  Jeff can be the first one with a twin turbo V8 Pinto.  Maybe in a couple of years I'll consider building another engine, and going the forced induction route.  Although I would probably lean toward putting a centrifugal supercharger on it, instead of turbos.  Attached is a picture which shows how much room there is between the radiator and the water pump.

To Jeff:  I too, hope that you will post pictures of your twin turbo build.  Out of curiosity what are you running for an ECU on your EFI setup?
