winsor351 - google sms auto fabrics - you will have to match your material and have a local reupholster them for you. no place to buy nos/repop covers for pintos

Lets see some Members before and after Pictures 2012
« on: January 02, 2012, 10:50:31 AM »
I thought it would be cool if any members could post  a before Picture when you 1st got your Pinto. Also if you could post a Now Picure. If you could include the Before date and after date. Please post even if the car is still in Progress.... It would be neat to see how the cars have changed over the years.

My before and after.   Fred   :)   You are probably wanting to know whats up with that, it is a 94 Ranger engine 2.3 with hydraulic clutch 5 speed Mazda Ford headers and a 2500 carb that came off my 351-M  V-8. Oh and I forgot a lot of 13" tires that I have no use for !

Here's Brownie. Had her delivered and paid for in part (total was $350.00) on 12-09-09. She had sat since 1986 when her original owner got into a wreck driving her and she was garaged. In 2003 she was purchased again by the fellow to sold her to me. He hoped to restore her, but didn't have time to do it. He sold her to me in hopes of her still being brought back to life. She has come a LOOONNGG way from that December in 2009, but there is still work to be done!

Two posts, not enough attachments allowed to show how far she's come!

No decent picture of the engine compartment yet, but it does look at least 70% better now.

And then there's my 78 sedan, in 2011 it gained the ever popular name "The Blue Pinto" so people at work would distinguish the two that I drive. Since I received it from my mother (and as my first car) it has had everything you can think of done to is as far as repairs and maintenance go, minus replacing the wiring harness. I have since added a Mustang II center console, pinto front valance, Mustang II steering wheel, restored Bobcat steel styled wheels, Mustang II 8" rear axle, modified dash panel, AC under dash panel, and pneumatic hood struts, all of which keep it from being stock, but it's my little dream car! :)

On Jan. 5th, 2012, this little blue baby was pushed off the trailer into my driveway. I bought it for $500. It was owned by a little old lady. She put 25k miles on it before passing away about 20 years ago. It sat in a field until I came along. I think that I will be turning her into my ChiefsMobile. I can't wait to start restoring her. 1st thing'll be a battery, tune up, fuel system cleaning, oil change, and then we will see what happens. Keep your fingers crossed! I will post more pics this weekend after I get to spend a little time with her. For now this is the coming home pic.

Wish me luck!
