looks like SMS only goes up to 1975. Would the colors be the same for the later models?

winsor351 - google sms auto fabrics - you will have to match your material and have a local reupholster them for you. no place to buy nos/repop covers for pintos

what does the rest of the gearing look like (ie) gearbox and what do you want for rpm through the traps?

Tire dia., final gear ratio of trans, trap speed, is car going to be driven on the street/freeway..all these things play in to what can be acceptable or optimal gears.

the car will have a C4 and use 26 - 28 inch tires wich ever works best.  as far as trap rpm, maby 7000.

My question is what et are you capable of running with the car.  That is how fast do you want to go and is your car built to the rules to run that speed.

We build our drag cars to run in certain classes knowing the rules, et and speeds to run.  Knowing that info, we then build the motor, tranny, rear end and install the correct tire size to fit those rules and specs.

Your question of "rear end gearing,  373 or 410 for the pinto ?" does not provide enough info for anyone to give you a proper answer.

So, fill us in on the rest of the story......

As a side note, I will be attending the NHRA GATOR NATIONALS in Gainseville, FL in March to help a few local racers who attend that event.

Don33 what ECU are you planning on using? just wondering, my 2.3 turbo is built pretty well and I'm only 350whp, figure 2300lbs and 450hp your car should go 10.0's at 135,  so 4.10 gears and a 27" tall tire will put you @ 6900 rpms, I'd run a lower gear and a taller tire, taller tires hook better due to the taller sidewall.

I understand Stinger has a pretty good unit, what are you going to do for head work, cam and turbo? I'm running a stage 3 head and cam from Bo-Port and a 62-1 Turbonetics turbo, not the ideal turbo, but I already had it...

pintoman1972, I don't know how fast it is capable of, it's still in the build stage.  I want to run as close to 10.00 as possible.

fast64ranchero, I am running a stage 3 head and cam also, a holset hx35 turbo, not the ideal turbo, but I already had it.  once I get it running and dialed in the turbo will probably be upgraded.
