looks like SMS only goes up to 1975. Would the colors be the same for the later models?

winsor351 - google sms auto fabrics - you will have to match your material and have a local reupholster them for you. no place to buy nos/repop covers for pintos

The Broken Pinto
« on: June 06, 2011, 01:28:18 AM »
Well, my 2.3 turbo motor is toast, at least one piston is. Dont know the extent of the damage, but it shattered under boost.

So, after years and years of messin with the 2.3 turbo engines...Im done with them.
Out goes the 4 cyl. and in goes a 408 Cleveland....a t least thats the plan.
But it'll be a while before funds allow such a swap.

I might put all the turbo goodies up for sale to help cover the costs.

A complete Micro-Tech stand alone EFI system, Stinger header, Garrett turbocharger, Esslinger aluminum head with Esslinger 2277 roller cam, shortblock with a broken piston, but 4 good Crower Sportsman rods, ARP studs....a lot to list.

But dont jump on me yet....I have too many projects in front of this one that need to be finished first. So the Pinto will sit until I can get it torn apart.

sorry about the piston. really not fun to blow a motor. just woundering what you think of the standalone you have and how easy it is to use. i would like to go that route in the future

Well, Im not the one who tuned it, so Im not really sure of how easy or difficult it was.
Before I had the Micro-Tech system, I had an SDS system on it. It was very easy to tune.
