The car will be a 240" dragster and the motor is kept at 2.3 liter and alky fired. It is my intention to be the worlds quickest and fastest 2.3 Ford at a little over 200 MPH and mid to low sixes. Not too shabby for a PINTO motor huh?

Bill, since it's an alky motor, no IC is needed.The hard part is keeping enough heat in the motor for it to run right.

I still drool over it and it's mine. It's a pretty straight forward deal. It's a .030 over stock stroke, 2.3, alcohol motor. The build up is:
Turbo block
Moldex billet crank
GRP rods
CP pistons
ARCA head
Esslinger 2232.5 cam {solid roller}
Sheet metal intake {454" plenum}
Custom header {1 3/4" primary}
Tial V60 wastegate
Tial B50 BOV
Wilson 105MM TB
8 212# injectors
NOS 50 shot {to spool turbo}
Borg Warner S480 turbo
5" exhaust
Reactor fly wheel
Motor plate is also adapter from 2.3 to SBF, then a JW bell to a 180 short planetary powerglide.

I plan to turn the motor 94-9600 RPM and it should put out around 14-1500 HP.

Dam near 100,000 rpm!!! that ought to do near 700mph in the 1/4. You have a pilots liscense?? :lol: :lol: :lol:

Serioulsy that is one expensive peice. NICE!!!

Can the block hold that much??? I know they are good to around 700ish HP but double that? HOLY SHOMOLIE!!!!
What about the Tall deck aluminum block that the midgets run??

Post by: turbo toy on October 24, 2007, 05:57:00 AM: Dave Flanders is making 1000 HP and Don Nase made over 1200 HP on gasoline, so I think it's do-able on alky. I'm building a main girdle that will tie the caps to the pan rail to help keep them from walking and add strength to the block, and the block will also be solid filled. Since it's an alky motor, no coolant or intercooler is needed.
