I know of one person that was able to get 77 material from them. something like this is best to call. could also do a search on google for factory or oem vinyl material reupholster auto. there are other sources and no... materials changed throughout the years

my buddies 4x4 74 pinto wagon on a bronco chassis we built....vs my re-built (it was totaled in a front end collision) 73 wagon, which we, once the frame rail was straight, we got all front end parts off a interior fire salvage car. painted her blue with flip flop flames!

Not into 4x4 that much...and way to much firewall/trans tunnel mod's. the carb was almost under the cowl...if remember correctly. next, finding good clean donars ie original bronco and a pinto? But it was fun in the day!

Actually I was refering to your old pinto, not the 4x4. They are cool, but I like the "standard" street driven cars. LOL.

well...I would still have it today if it was not for the rust. I ran the pants off that 2.0, logged over 120k miles on it...yea it took three motors (oil pump failure? next, a wiped out cam lobe...even with 3K mile oil/filter changes) to do it...WOW! and a tune up every 5k miles (it eat points? what are point anyway?) At the end of its life I cut off the wagon part and started to make a beater pick up truck out of it...but lost the feeling, so the project ended uncompleted. I still have the ET slotted alum wheels on my current pinto.

I hate rust...don't like fixing it...sold the engine tranny, junked the body...end of story. Still ran great...shifte d like a dream, even after all the power shifting it got...btw, I broke two stock shifters off. LOL

As we all know, that lived through the cars in the late 60's thru early to mid 70's, they were real rust buckets...some could even develope holes in one winter season here in the rust belt. Ford blamed Japan steel...i blame the specs ford set for the steel. It took all manufactures many years to get it right. Even today, one bad dispense of the sealant on body assembly...rus t through in a few years. blah, blah, blah...

You could be right about the Japan steel, my boss bought a Honda Accord in 1976 and in less than 3 years the body was like swiss cheese. The Subarus from that era were pretty bad as well. They both are a lot better these days.
