when I have asked this question in the past of my more knowledgeable Pinto friends the answer has always been the same...

Carb setup = 150HP max and lots of $$$$$/time/parts needed

want 200 HP? you need to go the turbo route

I'm not saying you can't get 200hp out of a carb'd setup just that if you want that kind of HP you really should consider the turbo route.

i really want to keep it looking stock, i even welded the heat shield off of the original exhaust manifold and put it on my pacesetter header, im going the alumanim head route and even painting it blackish brown to simulate rust to hide the head, i want to know how mush to shave my block to raise combustion ratio with a stock ballenced knife edge 2.5 crank and rotating asembely, i have access to alot of nice machines to do my evil work, i just need to know what to do, i want to smash my buddys e36 m3 and then some, wieght to hp ratio says anything around 200 or more will smash him, that is my delima, 1977 pinto against a e36 m3 on coilovers, 9 wide rims, exhaust and intake, I NEED to kill his car

Mini-stock can get to that level.  Not sure how streetable it is and it may need race gas.

i have my friend in handling by a long shot, unles i hit a bump, i feel like 100 extra hp should be easy, i just needed to know what things can be done to get the power gains without buying actual stroker kits or special heads, junkyard parts and good old machineing, also i figured i would convert to e85, for a 350 cfm holley, what size jets about should i go with, if i have the 2.5 botom end, 10 or 11-1 compression, and porting, its suposed to be 30% bigger jets, but i have no clue where to even start, what size jets go in a 350 on a simi stock 2.3?
