Parting out 30 Pinto's Texas, 1972 thru 80
« on: March 12, 2006, 11:11:34 AM »
Okay, there is a total of 30 Pinto's in this group. I didn't have time to take pics of each car right then. These pics will at least give everyone an idea of what's there and if more are needed just tell me and I'll be happy to take or add more as time goes on.

Here ya go, and sorry again about the wait.look forward to being able to help save another dying breed....

I am looking for 2 (passenger & driver) deluxe door panels for my Pinto sedan. I have attatched a pic of it so you can see what they look like.  & also a wiper delay setup for my car.  If you have seen any of those parts at the yard Please let me know & I will send you the cash plus shipping for them in whatever form you would like it.

ps. I don't really care about the color as that was just a example of the panel. THX :)

No, you're not even close on location. But that's no biggy. Anyone who is thinking of driving here to Amarillo....ya ll just give me a lil advance notice and I'll be happy to meet with ya. I'll steer you right out to the yard these cars are in, introduce you to that yard owner, get you MY discount on parts and then I'll just get out of your way.
At that point I would be sittin on the side in my Chevy Luv pickup just in case someone buys more parts than they can haul. I'll help you guys anyway I can...Maybe now yall might belive me????
BTW fella's I used to collect Pinto's but ya know something...I haven't seen one on the streets here in many years now.

On the  posts I havent answered back to yet about individual parts.... Please, bear in mind I am ONE man here trying to meet everyone's requests. If you haven't viewed my pics then do so then you will see that I'm a pretty busy dude, cause I got alot more going on than just you guys. But anyway, I'll try and look some of these cars over and answer back sometime soon.
Yall be good!     More later...

Hi Duane,

I see a couple of green pintos in the lot. Looking for dark green sun visors (pair) and the green drivers seat, the same style that is detailed in the pic of the orange seat. Also looking for the back vinyl of the runabout that goes from the back seat over the tire to the back hatch. And how much is shipping to 98367?
Thanks for your time and no hurry on the reply--

Hey Dirt Track...
I called and talked to Duane today regarding getting someone to do a multiple ship for large item`s to us guy`s from Texas west...I`m looking at the orange bucket`s...maybe someone else need`s a large item as well delivered out here...if we get enough people to "pull the plug" so to speak and make it worth while for you to do a run out here, we could make this work...there`s alot of good part`s sitting in that yard...Anyway, just a thought!
I`ll be calling him tomorrow regarding the seat`s for a price...a quicker way than using the forum and easier for him being there are so many part`s...he seem`s like a real straight up guy 8)

It would take a lot of coordination and a lot of dumb luck, but I would be willing to help as long as my boss doesn't find out. ( he would want something for use of his equipment, and he can be a little greedy, boy i hope he never sees this) But im down for it.  He lets me haul stuff home for my own benefit, but i usually have to return a favor, I once had to do a free delivery all the way from PA to AZ as a favor for a favor.

One thing I would need for anything hauled is a legal bill of lading, If i get caught by DOT with stuff on the load that isn't on a bill of lading I can get a huge fine, for example: what that would consist of would be a shipping agreement between you and panhandle sam for the transportation of the parts from his junkyard to your door.  I can get generic copies of these forms if needed.  One other thing would be getting someone to meet me someplace not too far off my route, if i were going to san diego and detoured thru LA on the way the bossman would figure it out real quick.

Sorry about the slow reply but I have been busy with ebay all day until now. I'll do ya one better than a pic of the building...If you are thru here somewhere along a decent hour then you just pull off into any truck-stop here in town and call me (if it's after 6pm then I'm online but most the truck stops have the net as well) and there are a million of them here.
I'll come out and meet you AND take you to this place where the cars are!

That he did, and a nice guy there! However if anyone tried to call me today I apologize because it was ten cent day on ebay and I've been listing like a mad dog all day long, have a billion tons of junk...ooooopp pssss....I mean "collectibles" that need new homes. :text_yb_lol:
So I apologize if anyone tried but couldn't reach me.Tomm should not be near as bad though.
Thanks for the kind words and yeah... I try to be as honest as possible, that is mainly what my business runs on besides word of mouth advertising.
Anybody who would like to know more about me and what I sell do etc, then you are welcome to look me up in ebay. My user name there is "drs6969" I have not a thing to hide, just a good ol boy tryin to make a livin. Yalls Pinto's are every bit as collectible as my Chevy Luv pickups (plus I used to collect Pinto's) I'm very much into saving the dying breeds and understand all about good parts being hard to find. Hopefully some kind of plan can be devised here, because some of the things yall are wanting...the shipping will eat you alive!
Take care and chat w yall later on as i have the time.  :fastcar:

I almost hate shipping hoods...where are you located and how bigga hurry are you in for one? I'll be going to Alabama in August and anyone tween here and there that needs anything big like this, then I have no problem putting a list together and if along my route then I'd drop it off. I'm already putting list together for my Chevy Luv ppl, so you guys might want to think along the same lines here.
