As far as I know the hatch/sedan popout window clips are not being reproduced.  I have only seen the wagon ones, which are different.  I could be wrong as I have not looked for quite some time now.

hi Tigger

i found out that its verry hard to find these parts. Fothe moment i made a hinge by myself. i made it out of a peace of Polyoxymethyle ne POM with the Dremel Tool, it works for the moment, but i'm still looking for some original parts....
I needed 4 tries for a working hinge... :o :o

thank you

Dan

Didn't somebody once mention that the window hinges from '73-9 Ford crew-cab pickups might work?

I'm wondering if something like this can't be 3D printed?
'80 MPG Pony, '80-'92
'79 porthole wagon, '06-on
'80 trunk model. '17-on

The pickup hinges are the same as the wagon but I think the sedan/ hatchback
are diff--- maybe shorter? Might be able to modify to work. Kind of pricey. I bought
a pair of pickup windows at a swap meet this spring for 10.00. They had good
hinges on them. I used them on my 79 wagon, and threw the windows away.

hi

i found a good working solution for the problem with the hinges:

i found on th www the hinges for the ford pickup

http://www.macsautoparts.com/ford_truck_late/ford-pickup-truck-quarter-window-hinge-assembly-for-moveable-swing-out-quarter-windows-plastic-f100-thru-f350.html

you just need some little modifications

1.cut away the 2 nipples,
2. drill a smal hole ad the end, to remove the bolt if its required,
3. cut at the marked lines, one one side for the left hinges on the other for the rigth hinges ( to mount the hinges on the matching part on the window you will need a bit of pressure ....)

on my pinto these hinges work verry well ...

regards

Dan

I always thought that would work, but never had the need to try.
I'm glad some one did this, and it is a fix for an impossible problem.
