I can see Minnesota from my house( almost ) Live in Sioux Falls S.D. I know of 3 pintos here in town besides mine ( under construction ) All are v8 cars.

Hey 79prostreet, there are a few of them around here too. Seems I know of more non-running project Pintos in my area vs. the running ones. Always have to visit Wisconsin and Illinois to see the running cars.

I had my Mustang II at the Aitkin car show this summer. Maybe we could get together there next year.

I have a place by Mille Lacs and try to bring a car to the Aitken show every year as they put on a REALLY first class show. They combine it with the local EAA chapters fly-in and serve both wild rice pancakes for breakfast and brats/hamburgers for lunch!

Pintos are all home, changed the carb on the Wounded Pinto and me thinks... it may be up for the trip, runs much better and no more smoke. Final adjustments on the carb planned for tomorrow and a good test drive to see how much oil it leaks now on a long drive. Last time I checked it was about a quart for every hour of driving, left a big damn puddle on the floor today, about the size of a small dinner plate

** Update, we made it! with help from a friend 2 Pintos made the 400 mile round trip Memorial Day and a mini-stampede for vets.

Fantastic! what a great time with some old friends and made some new ones. Dale (DBSS1234) was there with his Mustang (really nice!) and he got 1st in his class. Pinto Dave (dmsteen) was there with his cruising wagon (love that wagon!) and got 2nd in his class. I got lucky with the Pangra and grabbed a 3rd place in my class... But! best of all I got to meet Dale for the 1st time, great seeing Pinto Dave as always! couple old friends showed up for the show and even had one unexpected surprise from my past. What a great show! I may just have to make this an annual trip!

Time to start planning, clean the Pintos, tune em' up! and head North! (or south)

Both are Huge Shows! and well organized! Swap meet is both days, shuttle bus for Saturday, park the car for the show, visit the swap if you like. Last year Jim Madison drove up from Illinois to attend, plans on it again this year. I found drivers for some of mine for a total of 6 Pinto's last year on Saturday, Sunday we only took 2 as some had to make the drive home.

Drivers are needed for some of mine, ability to drive a 4spd helpfull. I have a huge yard, couple campers and will open my home to anyone wanting to make the trip up or I can help with hotel arrangements as required

Cloquet was a blast, just like last year. We did get some weather and Friday night around midnight had us all wishing we were some place else. High winds and heavy rains took out everybody's tent around me, snapping poles like they were toothpicks. I was in my camper praying to every god I could think of not to go tumbling across the park, only minor damage to the Apache Camper. parts on order and hopes they will work (not exact replacement parts) or at least be easy to modify. We survived, barely but these last 2 years at Cloquet have certainly been memorable and good stories to tell.

I setup my "water for warriors" display at the car show in the morning, the sprinkles, clouds and wind were not my friends. Later that night I setup for the evening burn outs, flame throwers and muffler rapping. Weather was good for the start but didn't take long and the skys were dark, mad dash to pack up and just as I closed the hatch... the rain killed the show and everybody went home. The storm passed quickly so the campers had a good night with bonfire and swapping stories.

the "water for warriors" thing I was doing went well considering the weather. Raised $102 for wounded warriors and I'll call that a success.

This Sunday will find me in Proctor, MN for the Car Show and Swap. Last year we had 4 Pintos and 1 joined us from the area + one on the show field for a total of 6. I have one helper this year so far and permission to do the "water for warriors" again. Weather is supposed to be in the 80's, sunny and this place is dry and dusty... let's keep that crowd thirsty!
