East Coast Storm
« on: October 30, 2012, 09:52:38 PM »
After watching tonight's news, my heart goes out to all of you on the East coast after Sandy has made her way through your area. Here is hoping no cars are destroyed in the mess and no one from here has any destruction in there lives.

cheers and my thoughts go out to you.

For any of the people from the northeast Coust I hope you guys are ok. If there is anything that yoy guys may need help with don't hesitate to ask for.
Aerodynamics is for those who can't build engines

If ford pintos are not fast then why chevy's have to use there parts to make them fast?

I live in midtown Manhattan across the street from Central Park. Very lucky, the building is on a bit of a hill, so no flooding and the power is on. The Pintos are in Pa. Had a neighbor check things out, all looks good so the Stampede is still on. We are kind of locked down with all the traffic and road closures. Good thing we stocked up on food. We probably have another week before we get some normalcy. Allot of others are not so lucky and allot ofthe places I lived before, I probably wouldn't be here if I lived there now. South Beach Staten Island being one of them. 14 feet of water washed through. We feel blessed and thanks for asking, hopefully others are as lucky.

Dwayne,

Thanks, we are blessed. Going to check on my home in Pa tomorrow.  This place is a mess, just hoping calm heads prevail and riots don't break out as frustration builds. I for one am stir crazy and trying to keep from getting too angry. I all ready am seeing allot of disorganizatio n and we are just getting started. For instance, right after the storm trucks converged on Central Park to clean up the trees. Those cherry pickers should have been out in neighborhoods clearing trees from telephone and power lines. They are still going full bore inthe park at this moment. While power is still out everywhere. At least they cancelled the marathon.  I was afraid people would riot seeing streets closed preventing access to needed food, gas and hospitals so runners could compete. It gets a little crazier each day, many friends are now homeless. FEMA and the RED CROSS hopefully will get it together And not mess it up like on 911 and Katrina. Thanks for the well wishes....... We are good, now to help our friends.
