As an owner of a "genuine" Sunbeam Tiger I have a little piece of Shelby in my garage. Certainly Shelby is a legend!

I just read in Hot Rod, that Bill "Grumpy" Jenkins died also.
That makes 2 great racing heros have left us.

So did Dodge. Thanks to him the Omni became more than a grandma car. Got boost??

I hate to be nitpicky, but his name is spelled Carroll. Carol is a feminine spelling, and Mr. Shelby was anything but feminine. He WAS a great man, though. Excellent car guy with a gold heart the size of his home state of Texas. He had a good life and was surrounded by love to the end. We should all be so lucky.

I say who cares. As long as it was known who it was about that's all that matters. Carol or Carrol or Carroll... who cares. Either way the name Shelby is the one we are honoring & respecting for all he did in the auto world. RIP... A great one was definitely lost.
