My question is...why would they have any smog equipment on a car from 1968 thats being drag raced?

My question is...why would they have any smog equipment on a car from 1968 thats being drag raced?

i think that they are representing the car as it was 'delivered' from the factory rather than as it was raced.  but this brings up another situation.  this car has obviously been completely disassembled, detailed to within an inch of its' life and reassembled.

no car ever came off a mass production assembly line with this amount of attention to detail.

it's  a really nice car. it may be original (according to the 'book') but how much of this cars original ( i mean , are these the actual parts that were delivered on the car when new?) parts are remaining as it is offered now?
the only substitute for cubic inches is BOOST!!!
Of course money helps too!!!

It really is a nice car...but like you ask...how original is it? You can tell it's been restored and they put a ton of hours in it. I personally don't like restored cars...they don't "look" original.

I messed up. Two different cars. Brother & I are trying to track down the one pictured above. The one in the link is a different car.

Personally, I think these rare cars should be brought back as close as they were in their time. Be a shame to have lost them for all time, with the history they have.
