1973 Pinto Wagon - Modified

Up for auction is my 1973 Ford Pinto wagon. This car was basically stock 2 years ago when I bought it. It had a 10 year old restoration done to the body and the seats had been redone. The 2.0L ran good with a stock 4 speed manual trans and a 6 3/4 rear end. I drove it like that for about 9 months and then after accumulating my parts for mods I wanted to do, I tore into it. All the original suspension was removed and rebuilt as well as powder coated in gloss black. Custom Delrin bushings were made for the control arms. Tie rod ends were upgraded to spherical rod ends. A custom built Ford 8" rear axle housing that includes larger diameter axle tubes, Strange late model Ford 9" housing ends and Strange axles. The brake system was completely replaced with Wilwood front and rear discs converting the car from 4 lug to the more common 5 x 4.5 lug pattern. Four piston calipers in front and single Hydro-Mechanical in the rear. A Wilwood tandem M/C and proportioning valve. XRP AN fittings and braided brake lines finish it off. The wheels are 15x8 Eagle Alloys powdercoated in Charcoal Pewter. The front tires do rub . They were what I had at the time to put on the car. Four brand new Kuhmo Tires just put on this week. After a year of driving it the tired little 2.0L gave out so it sat for a year until I got back around to it. Earlier this year I installed a freshly rebuilt 2.0L and head along with a T5 five speed. Now it starts right up every time and runs great and gets close to 30mpg on the highway. I do enjoy driving this car and I get lots of thumbs up and people asking me about it. Mechanically this car is as sound as they come. Body is very straight but could use a bit of massaging and  new paint as well as some interior work. The car is also rust free with one small exception, a small hole in the drivers door needs to be patched. If you have any questions at all, please ask. I know this car inside and out and could tell you whatever you need to know.

Note to potential winning bidder: Auction ends on August 31st. My wife is due to give birth at any time so please understand if it takes a couple days to get in contact with you. Thank you.
