The Ohio Get Together- It's Back!!
« on: January 26, 2014, 05:10:25 PM »
Pinto/Bobcat Fans,
The Ohio Get Together is back!!
We are planning a  "Pinto Picnic" pitch-in (bring a covered dish) on Sat. Aug. 23rd, 2014 at the Geneva Township Park with a beautiful Lake Erie setting in Geneva-on-the-Lake, Ohio. MARK YOUR CALENDARS!!
If you have never heard of or been to Geneva-on-the-Lake, you will want to see this! It's like driving thru a strip of restaurants, bars, shops, amusement rides and gaming from the 1950s and 1960's right on the beautiful backdrop setting of Lake Erie. The strip is packed with visitors in the summer and we will be parked at the park just a 2-3 minute walk from the strip... fun for the whole family! We have reserved a large pavilion with grills for a picnic just behind the displayed cars in the park.
As an added bonus we have invited the Maverick/Comet Club International (MCCI) who will be joining us as guests for their Ohio Mini-Meet.
This exciting event will begin at the Motel 6 parking lot at the S.R. 534 exit off I-90 in the morning and we will caravan 5-6 miles to town thru "The Strip" to the park with police escorts (if they agree). This should be quite the spectacle:
Pintos and Mavericks, and Comets, Oh my!   Door prizes, music, all the usual fun!
This is a don't miss!!!!!
Stay tune as details develop but for now, mark your calendars. Feel free to ask for lodging options if needed.
