The what?!  Ok....that's something I've been wanting to do to mine for years.  Does anybody have *any* info at all on that car?

Well..., I'm sure everyone knows that was Bob Glidden's stealthy and unsuccessful counter attempt to the Gapp & Roush 4 door Maverick back in the days when Pro Stock cars weren't Funny Cars with carburetors ::) . Yea..., right.  What is the deal with the dual stacked air filters? I'm not seeing much to admire. It has all the appearance of a 70's econo drag car.

I ran across a guy about 4-5 years ago here in Portland that had a car similar to that.  It was a dark green 76 squire with a wicked motor in it. The car was clean too!

What is the deal with the dual stacked air filters?

I know that one.  The higher RPM you intend to run, the larger the filter surface area you need to have to keep it from being a power-robbing restriction.  Here's the equation:  engine size X max rpm / 20,839.  This will give you the required filter media surface area for what you're running.  Stacking two filters like that doubles the surface area and insures that his high winding small block doesn't nose over on the big end.
