Ignition wires for 75 2.8L Cologne V6 too short?
« on: May 27, 2015, 02:31:27 PM »

My mechanic (who's pretty young and not well-versed in the beauty of all things Pinto) recently messaged me that the new ignition wires I'd purchased and delivered to him were "too short" for the job.

Does anyone who won't snicker too loudly at me have knowledge of how and why this should be possible and what the solution might be?

Thanks in advance!

Patrick

That is very odd, how short, if it is just an inch or two you could have the distributor timed in the wrong spot,  or 180 out , number 1 is marked on the cap, make sure it is going to that cylinder , if not your wires will have to cross over other wires to reach and end up short,
