1971 Pinto for sale, by orginal owner
« on: August 26, 2015, 09:51:07 AM »
I will be eighty years old on my next birthday.  I am planning on selling my two collector cars so my wife does not need to do so.   I have a Continental Mark VI  sedan with every available option except a sun roof.  The other is a 1971 Pinto that I purchased new.  It currently has around 90K on the clock and is in fine condition inside and out, except for a bit of rust on inside of the bottom of the passenger door . The Vehicle Identification Number 1T10X153427 decodes as follows. 1971 Pinto 2 door sedan was the 153427 unit built at the Metuchen, NJ plant. It was originally outfitted with a 2.0 I4 OHC engine from the factory.
It was has been garaged and run at least once a month for at least 30 miles since around 1980.  It was repainted years ago with “Imron” acid proof paint.  The head was rebuilt with steel valve seats.  The interior is excellent.  However it has not been run for several months because it appears to need a starter, when engaged it makes a grinding noise.  I am asking $4950.

If interested you can contact me, at Mayor@ptd.net or 570 668 2325.

Mayor,
Sounds like a nice car!
If you will post your car in the classifieds section, it will auto fill several RSS feeds throughout car collector sites associated with us and general collector car classifieds on the internet.
http://www.fordpinto.com/index.php?action=classifieds;sa=selectcat;type=listing

It's all free- not cost to you...
If you can, post pictures- the ads tend to be picked up faster and you will get more responce with pictures... 1 or 2 will suffice...

Let me know if I can help,
Scott
