1980 windshield
« on: November 20, 2015, 10:30:08 AM »
ust wanted to say thanks to Ryan's auto glass in Pa.
I needed a windshield for my 1980 hatchback and called my insurance agent.
They called Ryan's who said it was not available but they would do some checking.
Long story short, they got a 71-78 windshield and gasket. They did an excellent job and I was shocked that the would even do a nontypical install.

Very nice!  Glad to see you were able to source a replacement. From all of the glass companies here in Idaho, the only other gasket style windshield anyone could get me was from Mexico, for $1500 shipped...HAH! My usual glass shop found me the last NOS windshield, that we know of, in the northwest...So far I haven't heard of anyone else being able to locate one. However, there were plenty of glue in type windshields at the time that I replaced mine. I pulled the interior and exterior trim from a 1979 Bobcat years ago, just in case....
