What about Norma Rae? The union guy drove a '76 light blue if I recall correctly.

I just spotted a light green '73 Pinto Wagon with bumper guards in the 1986 movie "FX"! They show it very slightly from the driver's side and the camera slides in front of the car while they are at the impound lot getting stuff from the FX van.

I watched Bernard and Doris the other night. Bernard drove a green '77 or '78 sedan or Runabout to his job intertview with Doris Duke. The poor green baby "broke down" before he quite got there.

Ok, I didn't see it mentioned anywhere here so far, and come on you've got to know I'd have this one.  :afro:

Saturday Night Fever: John Travolta (Danny) parks his friend's Chebby behind a dark green runabout with a dark green vinyl top when he goes to help his ladyfriend ??? move.

I know that it's been mentioned before, but I caught "Blues Brothers" again last night. The Illinois Nazi party having a '74? orange Pinto Wagon cracked me up.....

The only really unusual car I remembered from Jay and Sil... was the wagon that picked up the chimp after they left the standoff at the truckstop.

I am going through the series "Dexter", a showtime TV show, and I am currently at the episode "Return To Sender" (episode six I think).

Dexter makes the comment "Nothing lasts forever. Just as a Ford Pinto."

Although contrary to what we believe, it's still a reference! :)

Spotted one today... parked right behind a '73 Cadillac in "Flashdance".
Too brief a scene to tell much about it except that it was definitely a Pinto!

I was watching a Dukes Of Hazzard DVD (the show, NOT the movie) and in The Ghost Of The General Lee, in the middle of that episode when the "General" was going "driverless" there's a white or powder-blue (I think) early Pinto parked in front of the courthouse or some other building. YeeeHaaaa!

You just gotta love a gal who watches "The Dukes of Hazzard"! ;D   When you trek eastward toward Carlisle in 2011, we'll have to introduce to Cooter's Place.  They are "Dukes of Hazzard" museum/gift shops opened by Ben "Cooter" Jones... they are scattered throughout the southeast.  Lot's of interesting stuff.

What're you talkin' about... I grew up with the Duke Clan! You should've seen the DoH stuff I had... t-shirts, Mom made me DoH curtains, bedclothes, the cars, action figures, pajamas, coloring books, a Flash stuffed dog (I still have her), a I love (actually a heart) Bo with John Schneider and his acoustic guitar looking mmmm mmm good, so much stuff. I had the white plastic DoH cowboy hat (wore it at Huntington Beach in the early '80s and a wave took it from me. It's probably in the Great Pacific Garbage Patch collecting barnacles...An yway, while boys and men were drooling over Daisy Duke and her very short shorts I was drooling over both Bo and Luke. I did have a teeny crush on Cooter and Enos Strait too. I forgot how funny Rosco could be...

Then, I repeat... you'd LOVE Cooter's Place!  Ben "Cooter" Jones and his General Lee are a fairly normal sight around here.  Have spotted him tooling along I-81 numerous times and he often makes appearances locally.  A little older, but still Cooter!

I know Phil already said Smokey And The Bandit, but I HAD to chime in that I counted no less than three Pintos- a medium to dark blue sedan or Runabout in the scene where Buford T. and his very handsome but very dumb son were "stopped" at the funeral procession ((look behind white Ford F series truck (old of course)) when Buford T. steps out of his long-suffering patrol car); a white squire wagon parked in a yard (?) when The Bandit turns off the asphalt onto a dirt road to lose some State officers; and at the Run's finish line- a Runabout is parked along the home stretch. This is my hobby! lol. PintoSpotting!

Not sure if anyone said this one or not...I believe there was one in the movie Gran Torino...trunk model...it was a night shot so color was hard to tell.

If there wasn't one in Gran Torino there should've been. They are both from the same era and same manufacturer.
