Windshield weather strip needed
« on: July 27, 2015, 09:29:39 PM »
Has anyone seen where or if a weather strip is available for the front and back glass that does not require the trim,I really don't want no trim around the windshields.

Thanks all
 Tony

I emailed them and no luck,I got a reply today from Kanters and they can get the front and are looking into getting the rear.

Thanks for the tip

You didn't state which year car you have. The latter year Pinto's had a glue in windshield. I looked at my '73 windshield and the trim is a separate item from the windshield seal. Meaning it isn't in-bedded in the rubber as some cars have.  My seal itself is all black rubber and the metal trim is attached by clips and welded pins on the windshield frame. Thus, the trim lays over, but does not attach to the weather seal itself.  So, I would assume if you, " ...don't want no trim around the windshields" that you can just forgo it but at least on the early cars the pins will show unless you grind them out.
