just wondering if there is shift kit or heavy duty kit for a c3.i will be running a 2.l Eng.also while  am here,will ac4 work for me? thanks again

I'm not sure but I think the C4 is what came standard behing the 2.0.

I've used that kit and it works well. Beware the reverse pressure bump-up mod if you have no wear in reverse parts, it will lock up hard enough to break parts if you don't need it.

There is a pump mod of some sort that needs to be done in there. Kit will point it out.

Do NOT remove the front pump from the bell housing unless you have the means to re-center it back up, just bolting it down anywhere can tear up trans in like 5 minutes. Some use the converter stuck in while tightening but I went further than that to indicate it back in within .002". Ford used a special tool to do it, the kit instructions will point it out.

Check where the governor body runs in the back of the main case, it can wear horribly there at the seal rings, you'll know if the rear shaft will not come out........... .........some are dead and some are perfect after years. Change the rear bushing at the end of trans, they are almost always worn out, the flopping there leads to quick seal leaks. Make sure rear trans mount is in good shape, the bushing and mount work against each other to wear out.
