Friends,

It is with a heavy heart that I inform you that our dear friend Barth Hamilton, aka "Pushthepinto," has suffered a great loss. His wife Virginia passed away this Friday night, 9/10/10.

Barth and Virginia opened their homes to our community every year for the Southern California Pinto Christmas Party. Virginia's voice would fill the kitchen as impatient Pinto owners tried to eat something that wasn't perfectly prepared and presented. Many of you feasted on the food and drink that Barth and Virginia gave to us every year, their gift to the wonderful Pinto owners that they appreciated so much.

I have been very close to Barth and Virginia over the past 10 years. They were there when I graduated college. They were there when my Father was in the hospital, when my cat passed away,  throughout a multitude of cars and a multitude of girlfriends, they were always there. Virginia told me every time, in not so many words, that that girls weren't quite right. She also told me that this girl is right. Virginia was never wrong.

There were few people you could enjoy arguing with more than Virginia and fewer that were as happy to see you when you dropped by unexpectedly. Virginia's love of animals was epic, and she devoted her heart to saving cats and dogs and bunnies; skunks, birds, probably squirrels and who knows what else. She was a woman that was so boisterous and powerful that I will always hear her voice. She loved her husband dearly; she made sure that he was always taken care of and always first above her second love, George Harrison.

I would like to let the Pinto community know of the plans for Virginias wake. As soon as I hear something, I will let everyone know. If you would like to send Barth a card or flowers, email me and I will reply with his address.

Being mostly guys, you are welcome to send me emails that I can print out and hand to him.

Thank You,

Alberto M
