Here we go again!
« on: February 28, 2015, 10:40:50 AM »
On Thursday evening I lost yet another good friend; this time to brain cancer.  Fuzzy was a Ford man through and through and had worked for more than 20 years as the Service Manager of a Ford dealership before switching careers about 25 years ago.  His passion was Mustangs rather than Pintos, but he was always fascinated with my Pintos.  In addition to his Mustangs, he owned many Ford pickups and Broncos over the years, as well as Thunderbirds.  His most recent rides were an Explorer Limited and a Lincoln Mark LT pickup.  A good man, and a good friend.  Of the four closest friends I've ever had, three have died in the past eight months.  The fourth is battling cancer also, but doing well for now.  This is starting to get old!  Rest in peace, Fuzzy.

It was!  All three of the friends I've lost recently were truly special individuals.

Well, they live in your memories and aren't dead there, just like my friends who passed and my Dad.

Sorry Dwayne,
Been a bad year or so for you, yet you always seem positive.
I could use a few of you in my life.

Russ

My wife has problems with depression so I've made it my mission in life to remain as upbeat and positive as I can, for her sake if nothing else.  Rather than allow her to pull me down, I continuously endeavor to lift her up.  Her health has steadily declined since March of 2007 when she suffered a massive stroke.  That certainly presented some major adjustments to our lives.  Then things really started to take a downward turn in 2011, about two weeks after I returned from the 40th Anniversary Meet at Carlisle, when my sister became seriously ill.  My mother was already exhibiting signs of dementia and that development just made it worse.  I ended up moving both of them in with us and taking care of them for the remainder of their lives. My mom died in June 2012, and my sister in July 2013.  2014 brought the unexpected deaths of my best friend Charlie, and another close friend, Jeff.  Now in 2015, Fuzzy has passed on.  I know there are naysayers, but I am a Christian and I truly believe that I'll be reunited with all these loved ones someday... and that's what makes it all okay. They just got there first.
Dwayne :)

Keep positive Dwayne, when you spread that feeling of being positive around it catches on, and a good person like your self takes in love ones in need speaks for itself, you already have a good word put in for you with the big guy up stairs, I believe in the same way you do , see you on the other side my friend,   Blaine
