Hey everyone, my wife owns an antique shop here in Wilmington and we do a lot of business with screen-gems, the movie company. Someone remembered I had a Pinto and they called me to rent it for a few days to do some background shots in Greenville. Unfortunately I sold mine, but they are looking for a wagon preferably not white or red. He mentioned "the later model", but I'm not sure he knows the body style didn't change much.
If you are interested in renting your Pinto out, P.M.me a few pictures and your name and number and I'll get in touch with him.
They've rented an old galaxy from me before for about a week and paid me $200 a day. They answered all my questions, were real careful with it, and drove it less than a mile because the odo was the same when I dropped it off!
Pissed I sold my Pinto now, but maybe one of you are lucky enough to have what they're looking for and can make some easy money.
-Fred

By the way, here are some pictures before I sold mine. Probably not what they are looking for anyway  :P

Thanks. At least we now know the geographical area. They had posted http://www.fordpinto.com/index.php?topic=26000.msg159629;topicseen#new a day or so before looking for the said car, but did not state the area of the production. An opportunity for the Southern Pinto owners to make their car famous! Hope they don't drive it like the Pinto in "Double Nickels."
