Sam is Back!
« on: February 21, 2012, 07:35:18 PM »
Hello everyone!
As many of you may remember, my 1975 sedan "Sam" petered out on the way to last year's Fabulous Ford Show at Knotts Berry Farm, California. I was forced to leave the car behind in Los Angeles at my Aunt's house for 4 months, and in August we towed it back to Northern California. Now, almost a year after the Fab, Ford Show, Sam is back on the road with a freshly rebuilt engine (200 miles so far)! Here are some photos from the rebuild. Enjoy!
I took the car for a long country drive today, it felt good to be back!

On the way back from Los Angeles, stopped for gas on the Grapevine.

Back in NorCal finally.

The engine before it was pulled.

Head is off.

Engine coming out.

Engine block stripped.

Bottom end after rebuild.

About to go back in the car.

Back in the engine bay.

Top end added.

Almost finished

Ta-Da!

Back on the road!

:DDDD

Looks like the links may not be working, here's the direct link to my flicker. I'll figure it out later. :)

The new engine looks very tidy- It's nice to see your Pinto back up and breathing again- I always thought yours was a real peach, Now how about some more cool videos of her? Always love what you do!

Hopefully I will get to see the stripes on her that I sent you a while back.
