pinto on TV
« on: January 06, 2014, 03:06:03 PM »
01/5/2014    A Pinto runabout  seen on the Mentalist 15 minutes into the program. The FBI enter into a garage filled with cars looking for a suspect. For about 5 seconds a big bumper pinto can be seen on the right side of the screen. The garage is dark and I was not able to see the color. It was a surprise to see it on a new program just mixed in with the other cars. The suspect they were following was driving a 68 Impala. He worked at this garage. I did not notice what other models were also in the garage.

I think it's cool they actually use a Pinto in a show or movie here and there. And why is when one of us sees one on tv, we spot it right away lol.

Just watched this episode last night. Pretty clear images, of Pinto. Maybe we've got some film Cred now?  Polish up those stockers, the movie industry is waiting!  Maybe a documentary on Pintos in Road racing over the last 40 years! ;D

Hi all!

I spotted a very sharp Mercury Bobcat Villager wagon in this week's episode of "Wayward Pines" on Fox.  First sighting I've had in a current show in a long while, although I see them regularly in "CHiPS" and "Emergency" re-runs!

LOL Dwayne! You saw that too!? That show is creepy, but I spotted that Villager too! One of the first episodes of Wayward Pines had a Mercury Comet (in Maverick body) in roughly the same parking place. lol

Becky,

Yep, I saw that too!  Gloria and I have always enjoyed "quirky, weird" shows.  This one reminds me a lot of "Life On Mars" that aired a few years back.  Totally enjoying it!

I finally saw this commercial on TV yesterday.  In reality, it is a Mercury Bobcat Villager instead of a Pinto Squire.  I noticed this only because I was watching on a 65 inch TV and could see the lettering on the tailgate.  Anyone here know who it belongs to?

Anyone watch Game Of Silence? There's a red wagon in a driveway in the pilot episode.
