what are these?

I was finally able to get out and take a look under the hood of the Pinto today.  It opened the air cleaner and I found these inside, but I'm not sure what they are.  They look like some sort of sensors?  Anyway, any enlightenment is appreciated.  It's so gosh darn complicated compared to my '66 Mustang lol  :D
