Hello. I was wondering if anyone can help me with my pinto issue. I have a 1972 sedan that is only in need of a trunk lid. I have been to every junk yard in California practically and found nothing. Any suggestions. I have all windows except front windshield for a 73 wagon and steering for the same

Pinto paint schemes
« on: June 28, 2012, 08:40:14 PM »
I remember back in the 70's they had a series of Ford cars (I saw a Capri)  with a solid black with gold trim. I wonder if they ever made a Pinto in that scheme. I saw a few when they first came out but none since, and never a Pinto.

My '80 came factory black/gold inside & out. I'm not sure if this is what you are referring to....

The interior is almost dead on.  I don't think they made too many of the black/gold ones. Nice car by the way.

Thank you. The only other one I saw was in pics another member sent me of one he owned but it was in rough shape & the interior was shredded. I have the original window sticker in the glove box. I need to post a pic & see if someone can decode the option for it.
