Great! Why in the movies when a car "peels out" on dirt the tires make a squealing sound like they do on pavement. I have had Mustangs with big engines and they would never make a squealing sound on dirt- they just made a big dust cloud.
This is one of my fav shows when I was young (along with the Six Million Dollar Man), mainly because my Dad and I used to watch it together (he adored Jaclyn Smith!). We had 2 Runabouts when I was a kid. We had a used 1974 Runabout (which broke down a lot). In 1976 he bought a brand new 1977 orange Runabout... the same exact car as Sabrina's. That car lasted quite a while. That is the main reason I've been looking to find/buy one.
All the peel-out sounds on Charlie's Angels (and many other shows during that era) are looped in after principle photography is completed. If you notice, every car makes the exact same peel-out noise. The same with the car doors opening and closing... a Pinto door sounds like a Lincoln Town Car door, or a Ford T-bird door, etc... Same goes for the punching sounds, falling down/grunt noises, explosions, gun shots and many others. Typical Hollywood.
