Great! Why in the movies when a car "peels out" on dirt the tires make a squealing sound like they do on pavement. I have had Mustangs with big engines and they would never make a squealing sound on dirt- they just made a big dust cloud.

Charlie must have been a cheapskate. His employees could not afford to own more than a "Pinto"?  Sabrina must of had a huge wardrobe bill that prevented her from buying something more expensive.

My very first NEW car was a 1980 Pinto.  It was black with gold racing stripes and black/tan "capri" interior.

It's the same reason they put laugh tracks on stupid sitcoms to make them seem more interesting than they really are...that's Hollywood  ;)

I think Charlie was rather smart because no matter what "the girls" drove, they ALWAYS came out on top ;)

(My first Pinto was a 1980 wagon I bought new)

This is one of my fav shows when I was young (along with the Six Million Dollar Man), mainly because my Dad and I used to watch it together (he adored Jaclyn Smith!).  We had 2 Runabouts when I was a kid.  We had a used 1974 Runabout (which broke down a lot).  In 1976 he bought a brand new 1977 orange Runabout... the same exact car as Sabrina's.  That car lasted quite a while.  That is the main reason I've been looking to find/buy one.

All the peel-out sounds on Charlie's Angels (and many other shows during that era) are looped in after principle photography is completed.  If you notice, every car makes the exact same peel-out noise.  The same with the car doors opening and closing... a Pinto door sounds like a Lincoln Town Car door, or a Ford T-bird door, etc...  Same goes for the punching sounds, falling down/grunt noises, explosions, gun shots and many others.  Typical Hollywood.

Yes, I know. I have seen many bloopers on movie car chases, as in Bullit the Charger loses 5 hubcaps! And in Vanishing Point the Challenger miraculously turns into a Camaro! These are 2 movies I really liked, though.
