Title: Battery tray removal-the bolt at the bottom
Post by: russosborne on June 30, 2010, 10:46:12 PM
79 with 2.3l. The exhaust pipe is hitting this bolt. Do I have to remove the exhaust first? Engine is coming out, so that will be happening anyway, but just curious. I did try prying on the exhaust a bit, but didn't have much success.
Thanks,
Russ

I've removed it once. I had to have my brother hold the bolt still with an open end wrench from the engine side while I removed the bolt from the wheel side then jam the bolt out by pushing it around until it fell out. I don't think I put it back in because it was so hard to get out.

Thanks. Guess I will just wait until I pull the engine this weekend.
Going to be getting frustrated enough, no use adding to it by doing something that will be easier later.
