Hey Navy... I was working in the Camp Pendleton area today at Oceanside Harbor Dr. If you saw an orange CalTrans truck and some person hoeing the heck outta the weeds, that would've been me.  :)

What's it worth?
« on: August 08, 2012, 12:53:19 PM »
I have a 75 Runabout SE with six cylender, automatic trans, factory air, PS/PB (second owner) and have to sell it.
I have no idea how rare it is, but haven't ever seen another one, and have had no luck locating one on the web...
It has 34,500 miles on it and is origional, not restored, but the right quarter panel appears to have been repainted. It is metalic blue with black stripes and two tone blue interior. All maintenance records are with the car. I haven't found out how to upload pictures to this site, but can email pics. The interior is in good shape with the exception of a tear on the driver seat (looks like the previous owner sat in it with a screwdriver in his back pocket) and a little stretching of the stitching. I drive it almost every day :-D
Thanks for any help ...b

Your not going to like the answers you get, (even with the prices going up lately).
If it looks like it has 34K miles and has not sat in the sun, and your willing to just sit on it and wait for the right person to come take it off your hands,  up to $3,500....    Ya we all know you've seen them on the web for $10K, but they just don't sell for that price...   Good Luck,  Walt

3500 is a good ballpark number. 25-2750 is probably what you will end up taking to finally get rid of it. It takes an exceptional example or an early '71-'73 to break 5K.

This is one of the reasons I love Pintos. They are affordable  8)

I was at a car cruise-in 2 weeks back and there was a 69 mustang there with low odometer, and the car did look like it was nutted (my meaning for stripped down and 100% restored) or nut and bolt apart. till you take a good look at the steering wheel and there was the tell tale sign that this car has spun the odometer maybe twice for the wear was not hidden. got to love 69 mach 1's with the rim blow horn... not many of these around to buy a "new one" to hide the wear...  two places to look are the foot pedals and the steering wheel for the wear. true a steering wheel can have a cover at one time.  I can't say what price is worth, it is worth what a person who wants it is willing to pay.

cheers
