got the T-9 trans in and bolted down but now the speedo cable is way to short will the one from the meruk work??????????

Not sure but aren't the ends at the speedo head different? Or does your Pinto have the plastic end that pushes on? If so it should work.
If you don't have time to do it right, when will you have time to do it over?

I am not using a speedo cable on my T-9.Decided to go with electronic speedo.I modified a speedo sending unit from a T-5 to work on the T-9.My speedo readings are dead on.
