Carb Rebuild
« on: March 13, 2011, 03:56:33 PM »
I rebuilt my carb yesterday(Holley 5200). It runs way better now, better then ever actually. I am a little curious however, how many balls does the 5200 have in it? Ive rebuilt this type of carb before and was pretty sure they only have one. But when I took the pump discharge screw out 2 balls pooped out. So I just rebuilt it to my knowledge and put the new one out of my kit in it. I does run great but im just curious. The 2 balls that popped out were the same size, and my kit came with 2 balls(one big like the ones that came out of it, and one smaller one).

I'm pretty sure I've seen them both ways Glitch but I just rebuilt the carb on a buddies Ranger that caught fire and the carb on it and the one I scavenged for parts both had 2.
If you don't have time to do it right, when will you have time to do it over?

Yeah thats what I was thinking, I don't think it makes a difference except a little bit of extra weight on the ball valve for some reason. Either way it works great. Thanks lol.
