rear windhield heater
« on: February 06, 2017, 04:55:08 AM »
Hi all

i have some problems with my rear windschield heater who will not work. When i look at the fuses, every fuse is ok, and i got 12V on every fuse. When i activate the heater-switch you will hear a "click" of the relays, but nothing happens. Where is the heater-relais mounted and have someone an idea whats the problem could be?

ps (i got also no power on the horn button - and all fuse are ok.....)

sorry for my bad english, i hope you will understand what i mean...lol

thank you and regards

Dan

I believe the relay is behind the dash above the glove box door?  Does the indicator light stay on when you activate the switch?  If it does you might want to see if you have any voltage at the wires on the heated glass.

You might have to check the fusable link , they are a wire connector end that serves as a fuse and a terminal end , it's bolted to the starter solonide post , see if its burned or not hooked up , you will see it go through the firewall by the heater hoses ,
