Was going through some stuff in the garage today, and gave this intake a second look. I thought it was an intake for a 2.3, which I am currently running on my Pinto. However, upon closer inspection, the ports that match up with the head look way to small to be for a 2.3 head. Makes me believe that this is for a 2.0 motor, but I don't know for sure.

The only markings I can find are "Offenhauser", "Dual-Port, Patent Pend", and a number "6000" stamped onto the bottom of the intake.

Since it says "patent pend" on it, it makes me think it is an early intake, and reinforces my thoughts of it being a 2.0 intake.

Since I don't really have a need for it, since I don't have any 2.0 motors, I was curious what the value of this intake is.

If someone could shine a little light on what intake this is, and what the value is, that would be awesome and much appreciated.

Yeah, that's the 2.0 intake. I have one in the trunk of my '73. Yours is missing the carb mounting plate in the pics.

Thanks for the confirmation. I tried looking for the adapter plate, but couldn't find one. I also tried on eBay for a plate, but nothing came up.

What do you think the value is on this intake as it sits now?

Good idea,bad application.
That intake design doesnt really work
well on a 2.0 or a 2.3.

The one I have, in case you cant tell from the pics, has nicer raised letter, they arent all worn like the one in the link. But he does have the adapter plate that I don't have.

So would it be safe to say this is worth in the ball-park of 150 to 200? Maybe a little more if I found an adapter plate?

Without the carb plate I don't think it can even be run on an engine.

No, not that I know of. I did see that Offenhauser still sells the adapter plates through Summit (and I'm sure through other distributors), so an adapter isn't an issue. Probably good though, as now the person can get only the adapter they need.
