Motorcraft 2700 Carb VS 2100 Carb
« on: June 20, 2017, 12:27:06 PM »
Hey guys I have a 2.8 with a 2700 carb with variable venturi, what do you guys think of this carb? I've heard the 2100 is one of the best motorcraft carbs. I believe my current 2700 needs a rebuild but I'm wondering is it worth rebuilding, or if I should replace it, I am looking for economy and reliability and not performance. what carb would you guys trust and go with for a 2.8

It's a good carb when it's right , got the best gas mileage with that carb before I went to fuel injection, the 2100 is also a good carb when good also , I have a new 2700 I brought and has about 200 miles on it before the engine ran hot and busted the heads , went to fuel injection , were do you live so I can send it to you , later Blaine
