Heater Core Replacement
« on: June 24, 2004, 01:27:53 PM »
Well my heater core is leaking out through the heater assembly and i would like to try to replace it without taking out the heater assembly, is this possible? I looked at all those tabs that hold the 2 peices of the heater assembly together and it looks like it will not be able to replace the heater core without taking the heater assembly out. What a pain in the a**, any ideas on how i might make this a little eadier on my 73 Pinto and myself would be appreciated. Thanks.

You can just remove the front half and then the core.
Thats the only way I know of.
I think if you remove the glove box its easier to reach the cables and stuff on the passenger side.

I cant remember the details because I removed the whole box. I probably removed things I didnt have to removeif I was just replacing the core.

I have an AC/heater box to install. It looks like its going to be fun.
