Help with pricing items
« on: February 23, 2009, 10:00:32 PM »
As yall know I am taking alot of parts off a 76 Hatchback, to use on my 78. After I get everything off and sort out what I need I will be putting all the spare parrts up for sale.
Yall have helped in the past and it is appreciated greatly.
I need your help in pricing some of the parts. It will be a mismatch of the 76 and 78.

These are: complete fenders with lights, bezel and reflectors
           Hood
           Bumpers, front and back
chrome molding, as much as I can get off
Full glass Hatch w/ latch and handle
           Stationary 1/4 windows, L&R
           6.75 rearend
Full set of seats, fronts need recover, back OK 2 piece bottom, tracks included
           Horns
76 grille with turn signals complete
           Glove box and Door
           ashtray
           Complete doors L&R
           4 stock 13" w/ tires
           speedo cluster, stock
Complete steering wheel and column to the rack

What I will do is average each price because I know there will be different quesses. I don't want to cheat anyone or my self with wrong prices.

You can tell me here on this post or email me at sharpe53@hotmail.com

Thanks again you wonderful people!!!

I recommend "shopping" as a helpful tool to assign a value for parts. If you have to pull it in a junkyard, then it's worth what the junkyard charged you plus what you think your time/gas is worth. If I see things on e-bay for a price and they disappear quick, That is a good price. If the item hasn't moved and I have one, I'll set the price a little lower. Some items go fast, like consoles. some go slow, like bumpers.

Robert,
I don't have a clue about any of that stuff except that I just paid $50 for the hood I bought - it seemed reasonable enough to me, particularly since I was able to drive to pick it up.
