Hard starting?
« on: February 24, 2017, 08:15:09 PM »
Any FAQ or anything about when your 2.3 is really hard to start? It takes a lot of pumping across a lot of attempts to get it going. So far, the automatic choke does work as far as it's closed when the car is stone cold and opens wide when it warms up.

Does it still have EGR? If so, make sure housing isn't cracked , valve stuck open with carbon, Vacuum diaphragm intact and all vacuum hoes in good shape. If the engine only runs fine when warm, it could be a intake leak anywhere that is leaning out the mixture too much to allow the choke to richen the mixture enough.
