« on: April 25, 2009, 07:39:41 PM »
Will someone educate me on oil pans, I was told I need a 2.3 pinto pan for my 71 pinto turbo coupe project, will the 2.0L pan not on the 2.3L T/C motor? if not I'm having a hard time finding a pinto 2.3 pan and pickup, seems the only stuff I can find is 2.0L stuff Thx for the help

Unless I am mistaken the pans are different. Have you checked ebay? Also check www.car-part.com

they do have listings for a 2.3 oil pan & I'm sure someone on here will have the pickup.

The 2.0 and 2.3 are entirely different.  I have a pick up tube and 2 pans, one is a little rusty from sitting outside and will need to be blasted, the other has a dent across the front and will need to be tapped back out. Your choice, $35.00 + shipping.
If you don't have time to do it right, when will you have time to do it over?
